What we do

“I can’t un-see what I’ve seen. And I can’t un-know what I now know.”

-Dequi, 74th Eyewitness Palestine Delegation

Eyewitness Palestine is committed to supporting and uplifting the people of Palestine in their/our struggle for liberation. For the past 25 years we have taken people of all backgrounds and identities from the US to visit Palestine: to bear witness and gain a deeper understanding of their realities, and to translate that understanding into action at home.

Each delegation is an immersive journey across the West Bank and historic Palestine where delegates meet Palestinian human rights defenders, organizers, civil servants, religious leaders, farmers, refugees, artists, and more. It is an opportunity to learn directly from them about their lives, their histories and cultures, and about the everyday challenges they face- beyond the news headlines.

Nothing compares to experiencing firsthand the realities that Palestinians face on the ground and connecting with the people whose lives are most impacted by Israel’s occupation, land theft, and genocide. Equally, there is nothing like breaking bread with Palestinians and sharing intimate moments of warmth, generosity, and joy.

Eyewitness Palestine transforms testimony into lived truth; our delegates speak from experience, not abstract argument, and the facts are not up for debate.

Your presence in Palestine matters.

“We are living under a stifling “Israeli” siege, constant threat of death, violence or arrest, and in difficult humanitarian conditions. The presence of these international delegations in Balata Camp and the Yafa Cultural Center alleviates these conditions, opens a window of hope for us, and foils the siege policy imposed on us by the Israeli occupation authorities. They also witness our difficult conditions with their own eyes and convey what they see to their community. This means that we are not alone, but that the free people of the world are with us.”

-Tayseer Nasrallah, Head of the Board, Yafa Cultural Center (Balata Refugee Camp, Nablus)

Visiting Palestine contributes directly to Palestinian communities by supporting local businesses and Palestinian economies. It is also a powerful expression of solidarity and support, affirming that Palestinians are not alone in their struggle.
