THE US CONDONES ISRAELI MILITARY ASSAULT ON PALESTINIAN PROTESTORS

Eyewitness Palestine delegate Lea Koesterer was published in the St. Louis Post-Dispatch today, writing about the US condoning the actions of the Israeli military against Palestinian protestors on the #GreatMarchofReturn.
She writes: “That the Israeli military issues statements that contradict videos of their actions is, again, no surprise. That the military thinks advance notice of the death penalty for demonstrators absolves them from murder is, again, no surprise. That the military uses collective punishment of the many peaceful demonstrators for the acts of a few bad actors is, again, no surprise. The Israeli military has been doing this and a host of other violations for decades.
The only surprising thing is that the U.S. would condone Israel’s abuse of human rights and be complicit in the violations. Then again, maybe that is not a surprise either.”
